In order to thoroughly implement the development requirements of vocational education in the new era and effectively improve the professional level of the teaching staff, on May 14th, the Civil Aviation Safety College specially invited industry senior expert - Yang Xia, the quality control team leader and senior civil aviation safety inspector of Lijiang Sanyi International Airport Security Station (who also has the qualifications of civil aviation safety inspector vocational skill appraisal training instructor and evaluator), to conduct a special training to enhance teaching ability at the school. Yang Xia's lectures attracted the active participation of all teachers in the college, marking the beginning of a new stage in this year's teacher quality improvement project.

The theme of Professor Yang Xia's teaching and research is "Inspection of Special Passengers and Items", which mainly introduces the detection methods for special passengers and their carry on items, with a focus on providing detailed explanations of security checks for elderly and disabled passengers. Especially for disabled passengers, when their prosthetic limbs pass through security checks, they need to go through security checks separately. Therefore, the airport has private security check rooms and separate security check equipment to ensure the privacy of passengers and provide special care for disabled passengers.

Finally, I would like to share my years of inspection experience. The inspection standards for special passengers are the same as those for general passengers, and we must not arbitrarily lower the inspection standards. The key areas should be in place; Ensuring safety, respecting privacy, and respecting personality; Use civil aviation security inspection equipment as much as possible for assistive devices, and manually inspect and explosion-proof for those that cannot pass the plane.

Li Yunhai, Dean of the School of Transportation, highly praised the training content and professional abilities of Professor Yang Xia, and expressed his own insights on this. At the same time, he made expectations for all teachers in our school. Teachers should learn from their teachers, actively participate in teaching and research activities, and strive to improve their educational and teaching abilities.
Lin Hua, Dean of the Civil Aviation Safety Academy, presided over this training and stated that we will continue to strengthen teacher training, continuously improve the overall quality and ability of the teaching staff, and better meet the comprehensive development needs of students.
